A VERY SUCCESSFUL ASIA WEEK NEW YORK 2011

Organizers reported double and triple the attendance  over the last year with strong sales to collectors and institutions.  Art aficionados from around the world came to Asia Week New York 2011  in March to attend nine days of exhibitions, private sales, auctions and special events.  More than $ 250 millions were spent on Asian art. James Lally of J. J. Lally & Co. reported 82 percent of his  Chinese bronzes sold.  Joan Mirviss who brought an exceptional exhibition by modern Japanese artists to New York, reported strong sales to major museums. See my earlier Blog about her  SODEISHA exhibit.
