More mainland China record auction purchases !

Leslie Hindman Auctioneers  had a total auction  estimate of $ 1,000 but grossed over $ 4,000,000 in the  May 3, 2011 auction. The  auction room in Chicago was packed with international buyers with the majority from China. The highlight was a pair of bronze vases valued at $ 80,000 to $ 120,000 and sold for $ 660,000. One of the most beautiful  pieces were two  rhinoceros  horn cups  that sold for $ 394,000 each. I can well remember that not too long ago something similar would have sold in the under $ 50,000 range.  What will come next ?
