HERMANN HISTORICA in Munich

HERMANN HISTORICA in Munich  has always sold the most striking pieces in the field of Arms and Armour  and Militaria like this Illyrian helmet.

In their April/May 2011 auction a 24 cm ( 9 1/2″)   tall  Chinese rhinoceros horn carving from the Kangxi period started at 12,000 Euros and finally sold to a Chinese bidder for 150,000 Euros ( US $  211,834). And another Chinese  item, an elaborately decorated gilt sword  from the 19th century, went from 450 Euros to 13,000 Euros.  Chinese record prices everywhere!
